Literature (Hindi and Sanskrit) was one of the first that genuinely caught my eyes. Here is an excerpt of a Hindi poem I wrote when I was 13. It is one of my most favorite poems from that time -- Unfortunately I lost the book where I wrote stuff in a transfer T_T

(If you do not understand Hindi, below is a translation)

ये धरती है मेजबान करती है उस वसंत का सम्मान, आया था जो बनके आगंतुक जिसने बदल दिया प्रकृति का रुख।। (१)

भूमि पर आए वृक्ष नए वृक्षों पर आई शाखाएं शाखाओं पर आए पत्रदल हर्षित हुआ परिवेश सकल ।। (२)

ठंड से कांपते रहे जो उपवन सहसा हुआ उनका भी रंजन निद्रित कलियां हुई सचेतन खोलकर अपने पुष्प- सुलोचन।। (३)

कोयल गए राग राग में हर उपवन हर बाग बाग में हरे हुए ये पीले पत्ते मधुकर बनाए अपने छत्ते ।। (४)

दृष्टिगत होती केवल हरियाली प्रकृति ने ऐसी सौंध जो डाली कि डाल डाल पर बैठे खगचर अभिलाषित हुआ प्रभाकर ।। (५)

खुशियों का आया रत्नाकर मृदुल मनोहर गात सजाकर करके शीत लहरों का अंत आया, ये मधुर वसंत ।। (६)


This earth is the host It honors that spring, Which came as a visitor And changed the course of nature.(1)

New trees appeared on the earth Branches appeared on the trees Leafs appeared on the branches The entire environment became joyous.(2)

The gardens that were shivering with cold Suddenly they also got entertained The sleeping buds became conscious By opening their flower- eyes.(3)

The cuckoo sang in tune In every garden, every orchard The yellow leaves turned green The honeybees made their hives.(4)

Only greenery is visible Nature has spread such a fragrance That the birds sitting on each branch felt desired by the Sun himself.(5)

The gem of happiness has arrived Decorating the soft and beautiful body By ending the cold waves This sweet spring has arrived.(6)

Well this might not make a lot of sense -- literature is highly sensitive to language than the literal meaning!
